F. Gordon Spoor: Gordon has practiced public accounting in St. Petersburg, Florida since 1974 when he founded the firm of SPOOR+associates. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of South Florida. Gordon holds the designation of CPA (Regulated by the State of Florida) and PFS (Personal Financial Specialist).He is a member of the FICPA, AICPA and the Suncoast Estate Planning Council. Gordon holds an NASD Series 65 Registered Investment Advisor Representative license.
He is the managing shareholder of the CPA firm of SPOOR+associates., and a shareholder in the investment advisory firm of Anderson, Riley & Spoor, P.A.. He is active in the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) and has served on its Board of Governors, the Legislative Policy Committee and as Chairman of the FICPA State Tax section and is a member of the FICPA Federal Tax Committee, State Tax Section, and High School Outreach task force. Additionally, he serves as a discussion leader for continuing professional education courses and has been awarded an outstanding discussion leader award in every year he has been a discussion leader since 1992. He is also the recipient of a 2000-2001 FICPA Presidential Service Award as a result of his efforts on behalf of the FICPA in serving as the lead representative of their Florida Uniform Principal & Income Act task force which was instrumental in the adoption of Florida's version of the Revised Uniform Principal and Income Act. Additionally, he recieved the FICPA Editorial Committee Award for Excellence in Writing for 2002. He currently serves on the AICPA Fiduciary Accounting Task Force and is a member of the AICPA Trust, Estate and Gift Technical Resource Panel 2004-2005.
Gordon is a frequent guest lecturer in the areas of estate planning, fiduciary accounting and income tax. Gordon has published numerous articles covering these topics and others. Much of his time is spent consulting in the area of fiduciary accounting and income tax as well as litigation support in estate, trust and malpractice litigation matters.
Robert J. Riley: Bob has been practicing public accounting since 1979 when he received his Bachelors degree in accounting from Auburn University. Prior to joining Spoor & Associates in 1987, Bob was with the firm McKelvey, Ulrich and Wilson in St. Petersburg. Bob practices in the area of individual, fiduciary and estate taxation.
Bob is the president of Seminole High School booster club and a member of the Seminole Chamber of Commerce.
W. Gordon "W.G." Spoor: W.G. joined the firm in 1997 and became a shareholder in 2007. He graduated from Florida State University in 1997 with a BS in accounting. He also earned a Masters in Accountancy from the University of South Florida in 1998. W.G. is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of Florida. He also is a Registered Investment Advisor through the National Association of Security Dealers (NASD).
W.G. is a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA), American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), FICPA Committee on International Taxation, FICPA Section on State Taxation, FICPA Young CPA Committee, Suncoasters of St. Petersburg and All Children's Hospital Development Council.
Rich B. Franz: As a graduate from the University of Florida, Rich completed his undergraduate work in 1999 and continued his education in Gainesville through graduate work in Accounting completed in 2000.He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed to practice in the State of Florida.He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Tampa, FL serving clients in the area of financial assurance and advisory. He worked with PwC for four years prior to joining S P O O R+associates in March 2004.He brings experience in financial analysis for businesses and individuals and the delivery of professional consultation to clients.
Rich has served a variety of clients during his career with emphasis in manufacturing and distribution, technology, employee benefit plans, and not-for-profit entities.
Rich is a member of the Florida and American Institutes of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA & AICPA). He is a committee member for the FICPA University of Florida Accounting Conference. He is also a member of Leadership St. Pete class of 2005.
Linda Riverol: Linda joined the firm in 1990. Linda works in the accounting department compiling financial statements as well as processing payroll. Linda excels at payroll related issues where she has completed numerous continuing education courses.
Linda is originally from England so if you speak with someone on the phone who has an English accent you know you are talking to Linda.
Tracy Silva: Tracy joined the firm in 2006. As a member of our accounting department, Tracy prepares financial statements and payroll returns. She also hadles numerous fiduciary accountings.
Her experierance began in private accounting working with accounts payable and job costing. Tracy earned a Bachelor of Accounting degree from Cameron University in Oklahoma in 2005 and plans on continuing her education with a master's degree in the near future.
